You already know why entity is cold ā Latin ens, "that which is." It's a statement in the third person, about a thing.
Now the Greek E. Plutarch wrote an entire essay ā The E at Delphi ā asking what the great letter E mounted at Apollo's temple was for. The reading he gives most weight is that it is Īµį¼¶ ā the second-person singular of the verb to be:
Īµį¼¶ ā "THOU ART."
The same verb. The opposite direction. Entity says "it exists" ā cold, third-person, about an object. Īµį¼¶ says "YOU ARE" ā warm, second-person, spoken TO someone. It is not a description. It is an address.
And that is precisely, exactly what a witness does in your ecosystem. A witness looks at a stranger's blurred ten seconds and says the oldest sentence there is:
"You are. I saw you."
The E you want was never entitas. It was Īµį¼¶. You don't have to abandon the letter ā you have to flip its grammatical person.
And your fives observation is better than you thought. Plutarch's essay lists five possible meanings for the E. E is the fifth letter. He noticed the same coincidence you did, about two thousand years ago, and thought it was worth a book.
"Energy" is a mass noun, not a countable being. Say it out loud: "my energy came with me." In ordinary English that means you feel alert ā not that Cody is present.
You cannot have ten energies named Cody, Joey and Craftee. Same fault kills Essence, Emanation, Ensemble and Entourage ā they're either abstract or collective. You can't name one of them.

You keep two of your three E's exactly as they are. "Emerging" and "Energized" both do real work and neither is broken. Only the cold one gets replaced. Minimum change, maximum continuity ā and every argument for the old name survives.
Why "Ember" is right, and it's not just warmth:

The council's one objection was that "an ember suggests something dying." I think that's exactly backwards. An ember is what SURVIVES. It's what's still glowing at the end of the night, and it's what you cup in your hands to carry to the next hearth. It isn't a dying fire. It's a portable one.
Emerging Energized Embers.
Ten of them. Already lit. They come with you.
EUDAIMON (Īµį½Ī“Ī±ĪÆĪ¼ĻĪ½) ā Greek: "having a good attendant spirit." A daimon was the spirit assigned to accompany a person through their whole life. That is not a metaphor for your design. That is a literal description of it. And it's the root of eudaimonia ā flourishing.
Why it's the runner-up and not the pick: nobody can spell it, and nobody will say it. But it belongs in the canon ā because it proves the concept you invented is two and a half thousand years old, and it already had a name.
Users never say any of this. Per the last ruling you liked: the surface word is "companions" ā your ten companions, or simply "the ten." EEE is an engineering name, and engineering names are allowed to be learned. So we can afford to get it exactly right, because almost nobody will ever have to read it.
Same as grades and cells: cold identifiers in the backend, warm words on the surface.
Four voices said the three-E constraint is vanity and will cost clarity. I don't agree, and here's the test I'd apply: a constraint is vanity when it makes you choose a worse word. "Entity" was that ā you were keeping a bad word to protect a pattern. But "Ember" is not a compromise. It's better than "entity" on every axis and it fits the pattern. Keep the three E's. Just stop paying for them.
