Six role keys, six stages of the same plant β 1:1, no leftovers. Each rung shows the stage and the metal setting that role puts around the same stone: rank in the mount, light in the stone. The plant did not decorate these rules β it generated them.
You bring the seed to the event as a Newie and it sprouts at the end.Setting: one bare clasp β the stone does all the talking.
You receive more nourishment β light and water and care and scaffolding.A sprout has no structural tissue; it cannot bear load, so nothing asks it to. Setting: an open cradle that only holds β nothing is asked of the mount either.
Adding your structure and strength to the event through the helping roles. The first stage with structural tissue β trained by the co-op steward. Setting: an upright spine-strut β the first mount that carries load.
The bud represents your ability to transfer this knowledge to another human beingβ¦ they’re your buddy.Still holding team responsibilities while guiding one person. Setting: the spine grows a reaching arm β with a small open ring at its end for someone else’s stone.
The flower is really blooming and it looks like a flower.Five stewards, the steward star. Setting: five prongs β five points that hold, none of them squeeze.
The shepherd is the fruit. The fruit carries the seed. Setting: a cradle with a second, empty seat β a spare practice jewel clips a Newie in as a pair. That empty ring is the whole role.
β The load-bearing decision on this ladder is the one that looks smallest: the sprout does nothing. Botanically exact β a sprout has no structural tissue, only a shoot does β so the second visit is pure receiving, and nobody is conscripted the moment they stop being new. Training belongs to the shoot.
