platonic
Warmth without romance or sex. Closeness that isn't going anywhere — no agenda, no pressure, no
one hoping it turns into something else.
Why it matters: it's the whole frame. You can relax fully because affection
here doesn't come with strings.
clear state
Present and unaltered — awake, yourself. In a firm-sober container that means no alcohol or substances at all, before or during — not “sober enough”. The words name the act, not the feeling: “sober” is something you can talk yourself into.
Why it matters: real consent needs a clear head. Everyone in the room is
actually here, able to feel and say what's true.
co-regulation
Nervous systems settling each other. When you're near calm, safe people, your body borrows their
calm — breathing slows, shoulders drop, the alarm quiets.
Why it matters: it's the thing your body came for. We're wired to steady each
other; a good mush is that, on purpose.
puppy pile
The cozy tangle — relaxed bodies resting against each other, like a litter of puppies dozing in a
heap. Consensual, unhurried, easy.
Why it matters: it names the vibe without pretense — soft and warm, never
charged. You choose your own closeness, always.
agreements
The explicit shared rules everyone opts into before any touch — how we ask, how we pause, how a
"no" is honored instantly and without explanation.
Why it matters: nothing is assumed. Clarity up front is what makes the
warmth safe.
stewardship
The trained people holding the space — welcoming you, watching the room's comfort, and there the
moment anything feels off. (In MushMe: your Stewards.)
Why it matters: you're never holding the safety alone. Someone whose job is
care is always present.
