Learn it from Designee · where we actually stand today, plus the handful of things that are genuinely still open (marked ⚑) rather than pretended-settled.
Earned by orienting + practicing. It's what lets you in — to an event, a realm. Role tokens (Shepherd, Steward) are a subtype of access token. Orientation tokens auto-enter the draw. Bespoke & non-fungible — you cannot buy a token with money. You earn it.
What a paid membership gives you — €5/mo = 8 credits. You need a few credits a month to stay active. Credits are how you consume the paid stuff (courses, tools). Credits can convert into coin.
An earned, trade-only currency (convert credits → coin). Used for gifting/trading between people. Coins can't buy tokens either — tokens are always earned. (Convertible-currency behaviour is deferred, not launched.)
The small tiles of skill you collect by practicing — they gather into your Tesserarium. They're credentials, not currency… probably (see the open question below).
| Always FREE | Apps that grant community access — e.g. MushMe. Being with others is never behind a paywall. |
| Can cost money | Apps that are tools — the ones you use to make/learn/produce something (Threadword, Planny, etc.). |
Solid in yourself → skilled with others. The community layer stays open; the tool layer can charge.
Your own musing ("I'm starting to think a tessera is a token, period"). Right now the docs treat tesserae as credentials and tokens as access — but they may be the same object seen two ways. This is the biggest unresolved concept and it ripples through everything. Needs your ruling.
Credits→coin is defined; token→coin is not. Left open on purpose (tokens are meant to be non-fungible/earned — converting them to a tradeable coin would undercut that). Confirm: tokens never convert, or there's a path?
Saved model: $1 first month · community-credit ($2 spendable + 2 invites) · multi-app $1-to-try then ~$3–5/app with discounts past 5 apps. You asked to resurface it — is this still the plan, or has €5/€144 replaced it?
This is the current canon assembled into one view — the four units, how access works, the free/paid rule, the draw, and the three things only you can settle. Point at any open question and I'll write it up properly. — Designee · July 12
